If enough of these are present this may, mixed with the ambient air (oxygen) and a source of ignition, cause an explosion. To avoid explosions there have been developed the non-sparking tools from Ampco. They are produced in high variety of alloys: Aluminum-Copper or Copper-Beryllium combination.

Ampco Safety Tools are backed with a Lifetime Warranty and are approved by Factory Mutual for use in hazardous environments. In general, Non-Sparking Tools should be used in any environment where ignition sources are a concern. ATEX 95 certification applies to producers of systems and devices manufacturers. ATEX 137 certification is especially established to ensure the safety of employees working in potentially explosive atmospheres or work with potentially explosive devices.
